Well I went up there just to get a few runs in and see if I could make an ass of myself, I did that part sucessfully 2 times against a d16z6 I/H/E and domed pistons
Riding 3 deep this race (dumb as hell but funny) little above 1/2 tank of gas
D16a6 vs. D16z6
181 (me) 149
r/t .530 r/t .076
1/8 11.013 1/8 9.931
MPH 63.78 Mph 70.41
On to race #2 wich was still 3 deep but no opponent ( well the integra didn't dial in) But god did I miss 3rd like a s.o.b
181
r/t .260
1/8 11.095
Mph 60.37
on to race 3 my best run against a d15b7 bottom z6 head spraying a 50 shot ( he talked shit all night so i was like lets run lol)
Was riding 2 deep on this one and still too much fuel
Red ( me) Grey
r/t .047 r/t .349
60 2.458 60 2.500
330 6.946 330 7.447
1/8 10.696 1/8 11.633
MPH 65.20 MPH 58.15
I figured that wasnt too bad considering the fact of me having semi-short ram and stock exhaust and header, but next week we will be back for 1/4 mile runs, there sensors werent working past 1/8 tonight so yea, but promised a better turnout and conditions next weekend
Soon as I can get to the scanner I will post the pictures up but tell me is that horrible for almost a stock a6?

This was mearly a stock car run, I haven't began mod's yet and am wanting to get a decent 1/8 and 1/4 mile track time before I begin, I want to see month by month how I can shave time off of my ticket. But any ideas on good road/strip suspension

Ah, understood. good luck and keep us posted. If you need any assistance let us know.
For suspension - Low budget. Tokico blues all around, Progress springs (for integra so you get the higher rates), Traction bars
Higher budget - Progress coilovers, Trac bars
MUST DO - I wish they had this wen I had my ED (both of em) http://progressauto.com/store/product_info...products_id=492 (http://progressauto.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=59&products_id=492)
I say Progress because thats my choice and sponsor. You can use Integra springs or coilovers because they are the same as ED civic and you get stiffer rates because of the integra weight.
Note- sway bars add a bunch of goodness to your car even in drag racing. If you dont have traction bars.. a larger front sway bar can aid in diminishing wheel hop. A larger rear bar will shave 60ft because of the stiffer rate. No front sway bar.. watch how much wheel hop you get.

I am considering alot of options at the moment but I would like to stick with the SOHC and that being said would love to pull the power out of a n/a d or sc d i just want something you dont see often, I am leaning towards more N/A because well it's all I have really ever known, but the suspension will probably be progress or tokikos just depends on the deals I find

Sounds great, You should check out a cam from Bisomoto , He is the D series master. That and a mild ported head , with valvesprings and milled about 15 thousandths.. you will run well with the a6
We offer final drive gear sets at Special Projects Motorsports as well if you want to mod your gear ratio.

Indeed, but I have been warned that 12:1 compression ratio w/ stage 3 bisi cam and some other minor work done ( I/H/E and upgrading Intake Manifolds) that I would be throwing headgaskets like they where nothing

i dont beleive that to be true. in a sohc, 12:1 is not that much.

Well Speed Factory has a 13 to 1 compression Daily driver... On pump gas even and have had no issues at all...

If the head and block have a properly smooth surface, the gasket will seal. Most leaks come from an improperly resurfaced head.

If a re-sleeve of the block is in your budget you can get 160.... other than that, a mini me on race gas would be the closest..
Thats why I started swapping... for the $ to make a single cam fast you can buy a B engine.

This is very true.. ALthough the guy that pais $2k for his B16a swap in his CRX then with I/H/E/and cams was not happy when my little 1.5 beat him 5 out of 6 races.. One of the times I broke an axle. And I have less than $1800 into the sedan.
Also when only running on an 1/8th mile track. A good jusdge of 1/4 mile time is to take your 1/8th mile ET and multiply it by 1.57... It is very accurate.

He paid the right price but the wrong set-up. Glad you served him. I like 1.5 blocks......
My CHEAP 12 sec set-up - TODDNOS is a whitness at my 1/8th mile wonder.
-Junkyard 91 integra LS Block $50-90
-OEM 81mm ITR piston - $ 200 w/rings
-all new oem rod and crank bearings $250
-Ebay bought GSR head I hand ported to ITR specs - $300
-portflow valvesprings $175
- Junkyard hydro LS tranny - $290
-DC JDM 4-1 header $175
-Hondta S200 ecu $175
-Borrowed slicks - Priceless !!
Grand total- $1480.00
Ran 8.60 80mph 1/8th in a 95 hatch, full interior and a Bass tube. Hanging with Corvette ZO6 in Drag radials, This is With an LS tranny, imagine ITR with a 4.9 final drive.. easy low 8
Sometimes shopping and being patient pays off in a build, though most try to rush things. I am guilty myself.

Stock d16z6, Full intake, full exhaust, 17's, full interior, 40psi of tire pressure, ran 11.4 at 68mph but also at 4500ft altitude
not too bad i guess

Went back last night I would tell you my 1/4 time if I didn't throw my clutch before I even got to the track, we made it up there eventually and saw some badass civic's one putting down a constant 9.6 at 145mph I belive, it was fucking insane, And my buddy on his r1 raced him and got walked so finally a confidence buster for him and his stock r1 but anyways...let the build begin piece by piece...
