Hi I'm SolSter and it was suggested that i post about my self here.
I'm 25 male living in the Great NorthWet. I started my car life when i was 12 fixing my mom's car. I learned to drive from my boss when i was 15 learning in his 63 split window corvette stingray. This and his son taking my to the track on the weekends to help him race started my love afaire with SPEED and performance.
My first car was 85 subaru and over the three and a half years i was into subaru's i have done just about all mods and conversions that could be done to 85-89 subaru's. at the peek of my subaru afaire i had 30 subaru's parked and parted out on my parents 5 acers.
when i was 20 i traded a subaru for a 84 civic hatchback with a 1.5L EW1 and a 4 Speed. I started moding it as a bet with friend who was a honda guy. his was a 92 integra with a b18a1 and i stated i could get mine faster than his. I alread noticed more power then any of the subaru's i had and was interested to see what it would do. i had the manifold cut open and the mounting plate for a webber from a toyota welded in and went with a full MSD ignition setup. final result was leaving him like he was parked and a warningfrom a Stater for doing 140MPH. I had gotten the car from his son. LOL go figure.
after that i started looking for honda's and acura's. I located an 88 integra for a $500. it came with a D16A1 and a DOHC ZC still in the box. after learning all i could i swaped the motor and located a pg7 ECU. i had the car for 3 months when it was Hit Parked infront of a friends house by a drunk driver.
I then Locatd a Jakpot (at the Time) 3 integra's and the owner of them was Very happy i wanted them. So much he told me he would Pay to have them taken away. $75 for each and i was happy to do it. it was a gold mine 86, 88 and 89. 86 needed the broken screws from the Disty cap drilled out of the Disty. the 88 was was gutted but ran just fine and had a ZC under the hood but a PG6 ECU. and the 89 was just fine but had sat for a year. he parked it after getting a New Miata.
sold the 86 and the 88 (after i put the int. from the wreaked 88 i had)
moded the 89 for over 2 years. the slips i had from the car stated that the ZC had less the 18,000 on it after it was put in. and the car had 364,000 miles when i traded it for my 95 Del Sol. the Del Sol was sitting at a car lot 100 Miles from my home. labeld as a Mechanic's car Not Running.
i gave them the 89 and $100 to tow it to my house.
after a new fuel filter and getting the injector's cleaned the car was up and running. (Almost Felt Bad). i have been doing mod work since.
