View Full Version : ycp 84mm pistons on eagle rods
will it fit
also found some use eagle rods which have 1500 miles on them for cheap
It depends which version of the 84mm is.. YCP has a Pressed fit and a Floating version of the piston..
If its the Floating version it should fit plug and play.. if it is the pressed fit then you will have to take the pistons to a machine shop so that they can convert them into floating and put them on the rods.

The ones i sell are the Floating wrist pin type(New version).. The one on the ebay link are the old type Pressed fit one + they come with regular Chromoly rings.. Mines are Gas Nitrited rings.
If you go with the ebay ones you will have to modify the piston for the wrist pin to fit on Eagle rods... So there is machining required..
Right now i have only 85mm in stock but i am expecting more pistons in around 2 weeks from YCP.
The picture on my site is from the old version... the new ones comes with the C clips and are floating wrist pin type.
will they fit on eagle rods
there are 3 different b20 rods
shall i get the lightest 1s?
