I don't see how the longer rods can be lighter. Must be new lightweight part number?

Any idea what stock B20/LS PR4 Rods and bolts weight? My crower I-beams were just under 550 grams.

your rod length will depend on what you want out of your setup. depends what you want your rpm capabilties to be and what you want for low end power. you have to factor in the type of pistons used as well. for a basic setup finding the middle ground might be the best route. but again it really depends on what you want out of your engine. remember, theres always a sacrifce somewhere where there is gain somewhere else.

For the rod you have to buy the 5.393 lenght one.A ls and b20 non vtec engine have the same 137mm connecting rod so...137 mm divise with 25.4=5.393 inche rod.
max rpm 8500 for me

In case of 89mm crank why not the 5.531 rod with relevant pistons?

it would depend on the material its made out of. My friend has 3SGTE and he just upgraded to forged rods and pistons which were lighter than his originals (although im not sure if all his internals were iron out of the factory).
